8月 めがねをかけた“ディズニープリンセス”!? 👓The princess with a pair of golden glasses.(p_-)
皆様、1週間ぶりです。。(^^;)
実は、この記事は2週間前ぐらいからずっと書きたいと思っていた内容です。
時間と心の余裕ができたので、ここで言及させて頂きます!!
まずは、表題にありますように
「めがねをかけたディズニープリンセス👓」
についてですが、、、。
ディズニーが好きな方ならご存じかも知れませんが、
ディズニープリンセスの中には、“めがねをかけたプリンセス”はいませんよね。
それに疑問を感じたあるイギリスの11歳の女の子がいました。
その子の想いをコトバにしたあるBBCの英語の記事を
皆様と共有して、彼女の想いについて考えていきたいと思います。
I haven't written down on this blog for almost 1 week.
Actually, I have been working in a new company since this August.
I am getting used to work in there, but I have to do my best everyday, every moment.
I get so tired after getting back to my home, so I couldn't do anything at home.
However, finally I got the time to write down on here, I would like to share an article from BBC about a disney princess with glassses.
A British girl who is 11 years old, she wondered why there are not any princesses with glasses in Disney.
I would like to share her opinion with you.
〈彼女は一体だれ、、!?〉
A schoolgirl who wrote to Disney calling for more princesses wearing glasses has created her own book.
Lowri Moore, 11, hit the headlines when she said she wanted to see more characters "wearing glasses like me".
まず、イギリス人のローリー･モアさん（11歳）
の行動力には賞賛です。<(_ _)>
彼女は“なぜめがねをかけたディズニープリンセスがいないのか”と
疑問を持ち、いないなら自分で作ってしまえばいいと考え、
自ら本を出版することになります。すごい行動力、、、。
〈ディズニーに送った手紙とは、、!?〉
Lowri wrote to Disney's chief executive Roger Iger last year to ask them to create more glasses-wearing princesses.
①"I've grown up watching Disney princesses and I've always admired them and thought they were beautiful," the letter said.
②"Unfortunately none of the princesses wear glasses and that made me feel as though I'm not beautiful enough."
彼女はディズニー会社に手紙を書いてこの疑問に対する問い合わせをしました。
残念ながら、それに対する返答はなし。
彼女の手紙に書かれていた文章を要約すると、
①ディズニープリンセスの映画を見て成長してきたこと。
彼女たちを尊敬し、美しいと思ったこと。
②誰一人としてめがねをかけたプリンセスが存在しない。
そのことが、私は十分に美しい人間ではないと思わせたこと。
私が、1番彼女のコトバで衝撃を受けたのは、この最後の台詞です。
確かに、私もめがねを普段かけている人間として、
正直、同じ気持ちを持っています。
数年前、フィリピンで働いていた経験がありますが、
そこでは“老けて見える”と言われたことがありました。
こういった考え方は、万国共通の考え方なのでしょうか。。
